Recently, we at KL Industri had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring visit from Åsbro Kursgård, the energy industry’s training centre located in Askersund Municipality. Together with students from Yrkesakademin’s Electrical Network Specialist program, they had the opportunity to see how we work in practice – from production and quality assurance to our newly equipped test lab.
Meeting the professionals of the future is always rewarding.
– It’s very valuable for us to be able to contribute to the industry’s skills development, says Denise Johnsson, HR Manager at KL Industri.
– We see it as both a responsibility and an opportunity. Visits like this allow us to share our daily work, demonstrate our focus on quality and safety – and at the same time inspire the next generation in the energy sector.

A day filled with technology and knowledge exchange
During the visit, the group got a closer look at our production, where we explained how we work with participation and responsibility in every step of manufacturing. A highlight was the tour of our test lab, where we recently installed new heat-testing equipment for transformers up to 3,200 kVA.
– It has been very rewarding to gain insight into how KL Industri operates, says Per Tandoc Johansson, who is studying to become an Electrical Network Specialist focusing on switchgear and transformer technology.
– It was particularly interesting to see how planning and teamwork are integrated throughout the process to create engagement. The walkthrough of the test lab was also very interesting.
Collaboration for the energy of the future
Also participating in the visit was Anne Kataja, Principal at Åsbro Kursgård. She emphasizes the importance of close collaboration between education and industry to provide students with real-world experience.
– Our programs are built on close cooperation with companies such as KL Industri. Through these meetings, students gain a clearer understanding of how the industry works and how solutions are developed in practice, says Anne.
