Project Kylarevägen – assembly and inspection

One of KL Industri’s greatest strengths is our flexibility and ability to adapt to customer needs. Our team ensures that every component meets the highest quality standards – from casting to the finished product.

In the first part of our Project Kylarevägen article series, we covered the work in our casting facility. Now, it’s time for the next step in delivering our largest indoor-serviced concrete station to Tekniska Verken in Linköping.

The station has now been moved to our assembly hall, where all installation and final assembly take place. At this stage, the switchgear floor is installed, followed by the mounting of all equipment.

The medium-voltage switchgear is lifted into place. This solution includes our own switchgear, unerRING, equipped with three transformer compartments and two line compartments.

The station is also fitted with three low-voltage switchgears, which will power the various charging stations and other essential equipment such as lighting, grounding, and cabling.

Once the installation is complete, the station undergoes testing and quality control.

Transparency and customer involvement

By maintaining transparency and openness throughout our work process, we provide our customers with a closer look into the manufacturing process and the opportunity to participate in adjustments or additions before delivery.

Tekniska Verken’s project manager, Daniel Lundberg, visited us alongside department head Mikael Lönn and technicians Bo Örjestam and Robin Jernberg to take part in the final inspection.

“Right now, we’re here to see how the station looks and check if there’s anything we’d like to adjust before delivery. It’s great to see a station of this size, one we haven’t worked with before it gets shipped,” says technician Bo Örjestam.

“We have worked on similar projects with KL Industri before, as part of our agreement. It feels reassuring to visit the station beforehand because it allows us to request any necessary modifications, making our work easier when it comes time for commissioning,” says Daniel Lundberg.
