We are grateful to once again have the trust of Gävle Energi, this time by providing a network station for bus chargers as part of the city’s transition to electric public transport.
“Earlier this summer, we were commissioned by bus operator VY, which runs for X-trafik in Gävle, to design a network station for their initiative to electrify the city’s bus routes. Right now, there is a major shortage of components for network stations, but KL Industri was able to deliver what we needed the fastest. They have been one of our main suppliers of network stations for many years, and we feel confident in working with them,” says Anders Eriksson, project manager at Gävle Energi.
The network station features exterior profiled sheet metal designed to resemble a small red cottage with wooden panels, fulfilling the aesthetic request from Gävle Municipality.
“The electric buses have a charging station at both endpoints of city bus route 3. Each bus can charge for about ten minutes before continuing its journey. I am convinced that this is just the beginning of a broader shift towards fully electrified public transport. This transition will come with major challenges and will certainly create a significant demand for additional network stations in the future,” says Anders Eriksson.
