On Wednesday, Finance Markets Minister Max Elger visited Finspång Municipality, accompanied by representatives from the municipality and Region Östergötland. As part of the visit, the delegation made a stop at KL Industri to learn more about the company’s role in Sweden’s energy infrastructure.
CEO Tino Gournambassis welcomed the minister and led a tour through the production facility.
– “It’s always a pleasure to showcase our operations. Having political representatives visit us is a great opportunity to demonstrate how our company contributes to building Sweden’s electrification infrastructure. For us, as a manufacturing company in the private sector, it is crucial to engage with policymakers and emphasize the importance of Sweden as an industrial nation. To maintain this status, the right conditions must be ensured or created,” said Tino Gournambassis.
During the tour, the minister gained insights into the various steps of the manufacturing process.
– “The scale of operations is impressive. We are currently witnessing a major surge in electrification, which will drive increased demand for installations like the ones KL Industri produces. It is a significant business,” said Max Elger.
The minister, who has visited numerous industrial facilities during his career, noted that KL Industri stands out in the sector.
– “What makes KL unique is the combination of multiple manufacturing processes. They not only cast concrete but also assemble network stations for power distribution. Having both of these operations in the same facility is quite rare,” Elger explained.
During the visit, Tino Gournambassis also highlighted KL Industri’s environmental initiatives and long-term vision for growth and development.
– “Sweden has many industries, but few people realize the critical role we play in strengthening and expanding the infrastructure needed for a sustainable energy transition. Without our network stations, which are key components in the power grid, electricity wouldn’t reach homes, industries, sports facilities, or commercial centers. It’s important to make people aware of that,” said the CEO.
