KL Industri welcomes Mika Matila as its new Country Manager for the Finnish market. With extensive experience in the energy industry and a solid understanding of the local market, he will now continue the work of developing KL Industri’s customer relationships and business in Finland.
Mika is 56 years old and originally comes from Vaasa, where he has lived for most of his life. He later moved to Helsinki for work. His professional career began at ABB, where he has held several different positions, primarily within sales.
– I have practically grown up with ABB and gained broad experience of both the industry and the market. In recent years, I have mainly worked in sales, Mika explains.
Great potential in the Finnish Market
KL Industri was initially a relatively unfamiliar company to Mika. However, after learning more about the company’s substations and product offering, he quickly recognised its potential in the Finnish market.
– There are good opportunities in Finland, even though competition is tough. Electrification is progressing here, just as it is throughout the Nordic region, and the electricity grid needs to continue expanding and developing. This means there will be a significant need for investment and new solutions for many years to come.
Mika particularly highlights Scandinavian quality, flexible solutions and competitive delivery times as key strengths of KL Industri’s offering.
– Finnish customers value quality and reliable deliveries. I also believe that KL Industri offers a level of flexibility that can be an important advantage. The company already has several strong customer references that we can present to potential new customers in Finland.
A positive first impression
After his first few weeks at KL Industri, Mika describes his experience as very positive. He appreciates both the organisation and the company culture.
– I feel very welcome and have had an excellent first impression of the company. I like the Swedish culture and the open, friendly atmosphere. I am quite a social person myself, which is probably one of the reasons why I have worked in sales for so many years.
In his new role, Mika will continue developing relationships with existing customers while establishing new contacts in the Finnish market.
– It will be very interesting to get to know our customers better and show them what KL Industri has to offer. I have only been here for a few weeks, but I already have a very positive feeling. There is great energy within the organisation, and I look forward to getting started.
