KL Industri continues to develop its organisation to meet the demands of a rapidly changing market. Following the summer, the organisation has been strengthened with two new colleagues: Magnus Boije, who joins as Head of Projects and Service, and Viktor Marklund, who takes on the role of Sales Representative with responsibility for northern Sweden.
Both bring extensive experience from the electrical industry, although from different parts of the sector. With backgrounds spanning the customer side, installation, power grids, service and project management, they bring new perspectives to two important roles in KL Industri’s continued development.
Viktor strengthens KL Industri’s presence in northern Sweden
Viktor Marklund, 34, most recently worked as a project engineer within power grids in Gävle. Earlier in his career, he worked as an installation electrician. This has given him a broad understanding of the industry and, not least, the customer’s perspective.
“With my background, I have a good understanding of what customers need and value. I believe this enables me to quickly understand their situation and contribute with good service and the right solution,” says Viktor.
He joins KL Industri at a time when investment in the Swedish power grid is extensive and demand continues to grow. The electrification of society is creating new requirements for both capacity and delivery capabilities – a development Viktor has experienced first-hand in his previous roles.
“It is a very exciting industry in which to continue developing. We are facing a major transition towards electrification, where demand for power will increase significantly, and I have seen first-hand the demand for the type of products KL offers. Being part of that development feels very motivating.”
In his new role, Viktor will have particular responsibility for developing KL Industri’s customer relationships and presence in northern Sweden. One of the company’s strengths he has already recognised is its strong reputation for short and reliable delivery times.
“Lead times are an important consideration when you are on the customer side. I believe KL has a strong offering in this area and is well positioned to meet the needs of the market.”
He describes his first weeks at KL Industri as very positive.
“I’ve had a great start. It feels like a professional organisation, and everyone has made me feel very welcome.”
Magnus takes responsibility for projects and service
At the same time, KL Industri is strengthening its organisation by creating clearer responsibility for its project and service offering. The new role of Head of Projects and Service has been taken on by Magnus Boije, 56, who lives in Loftahammar and brings extensive experience from the electrical industry.
His decision to enter the electrical industry was not, however, the result of a carefully planned career path. As a young man, Magnus attended a skiing-focused upper secondary school – and the electrical programme simply happened to be the course that worked best with his schedule. It is a choice he has never regretted.
Since then, Magnus has built broad experience across several areas of the industry. Among other roles, he has been responsible for electrical installations, managed service operations and worked as an electrical manager.
He now brings that experience to KL Industri.
“What attracted me was the opportunity to continue working in an industry where so much is happening right now. Development is moving quickly and creating many exciting opportunities. At the same time, the work we do is important to society,” says Magnus.
As Head of Projects and Service, his responsibilities will be both operational and long-term. The role is intended to further develop KL Industri’s presence and offering within planned maintenance and the development of existing substations, as well as project-based business where KL Industri’s products can reach a broader market within power supply. This could, for example, include charging infrastructure and industry, in addition to the traditional power grid.
“There is great potential here. We are gradually building the organisation to become even stronger in providing consultative support and helping customers identify the right applications for KL Industri’s products based on their specific environments and needs. The products have a clear place in the market thanks to competitive pricing, quality and KL Industri’s strong delivery capabilities.”
Magnus describes himself as a curious colleague who is keen to contribute the experience he has gained over the years, including from previous work developing organisations and structures. At the same time, he sees his new role as an opportunity to continue learning himself.
“I’m still eager to learn new things, while also bringing a fair amount of experience with me. Things are constantly evolving in this industry, and we all learn something new every day.”
Recruitment that brings new energy for the future
For KL Industri, these new appointments strengthen two areas that are becoming increasingly important as both the market and the company continue to grow. Viktor strengthens KL Industri’s presence and technical sales expertise in northern Sweden, while Magnus adds further momentum to the development of the company’s project and service operations.
Together, they bring experience from different parts of the electrical industry – from installation and the customer side to projects, service and sales. They represent a valuable addition to KL Industri, both in its day-to-day operations and in the company’s continued development.
We warmly welcome Magnus and Viktor to KL Industri and look forward to following their work and contributions to the company’s continued development.
