We are proud to introduce the latest addition to our TMS product family. Production of our upgraded TMS 2 version is now in full swing, with the first deliveries scheduled for January as part of our new agreement with Elenia, covering over 260 stations annually.
“The difference between the new TMS 2 and the previous model is significant. The biggest advancement is that we have successfully incorporated our proven gas-insulated load break switches for 12 and 24 kV from Schneider Electric into this more compact station. In the future, we aim to further expand the portfolio with load break switches featuring vacuum interrupters and air insulation, making it even more attractive for the Swedish market,” says Håkan Bäckmark, product developer at KL Industri.
Håkan highlights the challenge of maintaining cost efficiency while never compromising on safety, which remains KL Industri’s top priority.
“TMS 2 has undergone and successfully passed rigorous safety tests, including an arc fault test (IAC test), where the station is subjected to a short circuit releasing the equivalent energy of 3 kg of dynamite. Every team member involved has done an outstanding job throughout the fall to bring this station into production.”
Beyond its performance and safety, Håkan also praises its aesthetic appeal.
“This station is incredibly well-designed. It blends seamlessly into its environment and can be customized in any color that the customer prefers. We can even add wooden paneling to match residential areas with wooden houses. The combination of security and functionality makes TMS 2 exactly what our customers have been asking for.”
