Project Kylarevägen – delivery: the journey of the TSB3E

One of KL Industri’s greatest strengths is our flexibility and ability to adapt to customer needs. Our team ensures that every component maintains the highest quality – from the casting process to the finished product. In our Project Kylarevägen article series, we have shared the entire journey, from casting and assembly to final delivery.

A multi-part delivery

On Monday, March 11, the final steps of the process were taken as the station was loaded onto one trailer and its roof onto another at our factory in Finspång for transport to its final destination in Linköping.

With traffic coordinators guiding the way, the delivery made its journey to the site, where the offloading process began. A mobile crane was used to carefully place the station onto its designated foundation, allowing Tekniska Verken to conduct a delivery inspection and prepare for the installation of the transformers.

“It’s really exciting to be part of the installation of such a large station and see it put into place. We already have multiple orders for similar projects, and we can clearly see that interest in our larger stations is growing,”
says John Hallgren, sales manager at KL Industri, who was on-site for the installation.

“We live in a society where the demand for electricity is increasing. That’s why we are proud to contribute to this growth in an environmentally conscious and sustainable way.”

Finally, the transformers were installed, and the roof was secured in place.

“We chose KL Industri because we have a strong partnership and they provided an excellent solution for a station that accommodates three transformers without requiring on-site construction. Today, we’ve seen the final result – a smooth delivery and a seamless installation,” says Daniel Lundberg, project manager at Tekniska Verken, who has overseen the project.

Two of the three transformers will run at nearly full capacity due to the new connections. The third bay currently holds a smaller transformer to handle existing connections, but there is future flexibility to replace it with a higher-capacity unit when needed.

By summer, the Kylarevägen charging station will be fully operational, serving both trucks and cars. KL Industri sees a bright future for TSB3E stations.

Soon, we will release a video showcasing the entire process – from start to finish – of our largest indoor-serviced concrete station, featuring insights from KL Industri and Tekniska Verken in Linköping. Stay tuned!
